1/2" Reduced Shank

Our 1/2" reduced shank drill bits come in a range of materials. Silver & Deming is a general pupose drill bit with a 118* point for cutting of non-hardened metals and the silver coating provides lubricity for easier cutting. The Black & Gold is made from hi-molybdenum hardened steel and is used for cutting hardened steels and stainless steel. Drill sizes less than 1" feature a 135* split point and drill sizes over 1" feature a 118* split point for quickly sinking into hard metals. The M42 cobalt drill bits are used for drilling hardened steels, stainless steels, high tempurature alloys, titanium and certain plastics. The high heat capacity of this material permits 30% higher drilling speed than standard steel drill bits. This drill bit features a 135* split point for quickly sinking into hard metals. All materials feature three machined flats on the shank for no slippage in the chuck. Made in the USA by Norseman Drill & Tool.
