Split Lockwashers Grade 10.9
Split lockwashers, also called "helical" lockwashers, have a split in the center with turned up ends that act as teeth when the fastener is tightened and bite into the mating material stopping the fastener from turning. Grade 10.9 split lockwashers are made from quenched and tempered medium carbon alloy steel and are comparable to imperial Grade 8.
