Our plug taps are made from high-speed steel which lasts considerably longer than other tap materials. They are general purpose taps that can be used by hand or under power and they comply to standard "H" limits to provide an adequate "class of fit". Plug taps have the most common chamfer as the chamfer is shorter than a taper tap and is usually used in through or blind holes.
