Our bottoming taps are made from high-speed steel which lasts considerably longer than other tap materials. They are general purpose taps that can be used by hand or under power and they comply to standard "H" limits to provide an adequate "class of fit". Bottoming taps feature the shortest chamfer of all the tap styles which allows these taps to be used in holes that have a bottom, threading all the way to the bottom of the hole.
