Multi-grip rivets are general purpose rivets that offer a wider gripping range that traditional rivets, meaning one size rivet can be used on a wider material thickness range versus multiple different sizes of traditional rivets. The large flange offers a larger head that has greater holding power due to the larger surface area than a standard buttonhead rivet. Grip range is the amount of material the rivet will be going through, not the actual length of the rivet, which will always be longer than the grip range.
